For our Supporters, a career at O’Neill Hotels & Resorts is more than just themselves or the company. It’s our culture of working together as ONE to create better communities in which we live.
In the United States, our management company ONE Lodging Managment has adopted CORE (Children of Restaurant Employees), a not-for-profit organization that offers financial aid to hospitality industry employees. Taking time off to care for a sick child can be detrimental to a hospitality worker’s finances, so CORE steps in to assist in paying a utility bill, to purchase an iPad for a disabled child, or to fly a family to Disney World for a dream vacation.
BELOW IS A SELECTION OF RECENT ACTIVITIES BY OUR SUPPORTERS:
WESTIN WHISTLER RESORT & SPA
The team raised $3,799 for the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada by participating in “The Big Bike” in which they rode a 30-seat bike for 2 kilometres!
FAIRFIELD INN & SUITES
Supporters collected food donations and provided meal baskets for several local families in need in addition to participating in Spirit to Serve, where the team collected toiletries and personal items for donation to local women’s shelters.
The team was recognized for its support for the annual “Hearts for Heroes Canine Showcase” event.
Each year Hilton encourages a ’31 Days of Hamptonality’ challenge for their branded properties to engage with their local communities. Among many other acts of giving, Lisa and fellow Supporters spent a day spreading cheer at a local Assisted Living facility.
As part of their community service initiative, the hotel sponsored and hosted an 8th grade graduation celebration for Children First Academy, a local elementary and middle school.
OAK TREE INN
When the historic, 109-year-old Royal Hotel burned to the ground in January, the Oak Tree Inn Yampa CO team was there to lend support. Displaced residents were housed at Oak Tree Inn and Penny’s Diner served as a community drop-in point for donations of money, food and clothing.
